Business Excellence New Zealand manages the PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE STUDY AWARDS (PESA). The Awards are supported by New Zealand businesses, government agencies and education and health sector organisations to promote the use of performance excellence criteria in New Zealand. This public and private sector sponsoring partnership has maintained the value and appeal of the Awards over the last twenty six years.

• The PESA Criteria are the internationally recognised Baldrige Excellence Framework

• Baldrige trained NZ assessors working in partnership with US based Baldrige examiners provide all PESA applicants with independent written feedback on their application

• Awards applicants have the opportunity to participate in the annual PESA Study Visit to the USA

• In keeping with the principles of the Criteria for the PESA, the awards continue to evolve in line with international best practice and remain aligned to the Baldrige Excellence Framework

• The benefits of using the PESA Criteria are well recognised and the regular updating process against the Baldrige Criteria ensures that New Zealand organisations remain calibrated to international best practice
